Vancouver Aquarium MMR Seal Release

The Vancouver Aquarium's Marine Mammal Rescue Center had a volunteer run seal release this thanksgiving weekend where they reintroduced the rehabilitated animals that they have been caring for back into the wild. This time, 10 rehabilitated harbour seals were set free on BC's sunshine coase. This release included Sammy the Seal, the seal pup who made international headlines when rescued earlier this year. The staff and volunteers at the MMR have 4 to 6 such releases each year.
